The PD Committee kept this year's theme of "Making Connections" while they designed this year's PLC Groups. We were excited to offer groups that focused on teacher-chosen interests and long-term professional goals.
As we move into year two of this PLC model, some of the program revisions will include an additional PLC group (Middle School Transition PLC) and an increased focus on teacher-leadership. |
e2e (Peer Observation) PLCThis group spent the year observing one another's classrooms. The observations will followed by guided, informal dialogue.

Outreach/ Community PLCThis group focused on bringing the outside world into their classrooms. Lessons included guest speakers, outreach efforts and community involvement.

Interdisciplinary - General PLCTeacher teams and pairs collaborated to create cross-curricular lessons and projects.

Data-Driven Instruction PLCParticipants reflected on their own craft as well as student needs within each class as they used assessment data to drive their instruction.

Collaborative Teaching PLCCollaborative pairs had the opportunity to plan upcoming units, modify assessments and discuss individual student needs in this group.

Interdisciplinary - Anti-Bullying PLCThis group spent the year planning collaborative lessons that included anti-bullying themes and concepts.

A wide range of knowledge backgrounds allowed this group to plan lessons for each department for the upcoming year's implementation of One Book One School.
